    What happens if the device is disconnected?

    The system will stop reporting data, and a red flashing LED light will indicate that the device is no longer connected. At this point, you should try and drive to a different location that might have a stronger signal and make sure that there is a SIM card inserted in the device.

    Can VuDrive be used in electric or hybrid vehicles?

    Yes, VuDrive supports electric and hybrid vehicles.

    What cameras or sensors are included with VuDrive?

    VuDrive includes an in-cabin camera for driver monitoring and a road-facing camera to capture safety events. The device also includes an accelerometer and gyro for precise driving behavior monitoring.

    How do I reset or troubleshoot the VuDrive hardware?

    To reset the VuDrive device, insert a pin into the reset button slot located on the top of the device, just beneath the cable entrance cap. This will reboot the device without erasing any configuration settings. If issues continue after the reset, contact support for further troubleshooting assistance.

    What behaviors does VuDrive detect?

    VuDrive detects Distraction, Eyes off the road, phone usage, smoking, camera Blockage, and seatbelt violation (depending on the model) using AI.
    It also detects harsh braking, acceleration, and cornering using a G-sensor.

    Does VuDrive record video? If yes, how is the video stored?

    Yes. VuDrive records video in two main ways:
    Event-Triggered Clips: When a safety event occurs (e.g., harsh braking or sudden turns), a short video clip is automatically saved to the SD card and uploaded to the cloud.
    Full Trip Video Playback: Even if no events were triggered, you can access video recordings of full trips. These are available on demand under the “Video” tab of the trip page and are segmented into 10-minute intervals.

    How is driver distraction detected?

    Using facial recognition and head pose estimation algorithms via the in-cabin camera.

    What happens if a driver is detected as drowsy or distracted?

    An audible alert is issued in real time. Events are also logged for later review.

    How do I log in to the VuDrive platform?

    I forgot my password – how do I reset it?
    • Go to https://vudrive.net/
    • Click on Forgot Password and then enter your email.
    • You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Click on “Reset My Password” (Be sure to check your spam folder, the email is sent from this address: [email protected])
    • Enter your new password and confirm it on the second line. (Please choose a strong password – the password has to be at least 8 characters, including one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character (such as !,)
    • Click on Update and then Back to Login.

    How can I view trip history or driver behavior?

    You can view trip history and driver behavior by navigating to the “Trips” and “Events” sections under Activity Tracking in your dashboard. These sections allow you to review past trips and safety-related events. To find specific data, you can filter results by entering a vehicle’s plate numbe

    Can I download or export reports?

    Yes, you can export PDF or Excel reports from the “Reports” tab on the fleet’s page.

    Does VuDrive have a mobile app?

    Yes. It’s available for Android on the Play Store.
    For IOS users, just go to VuDrive.net from your Safari or Chrome browser. The platform is compatible with mobile browsing.

    How do I configure alerts or event notifications?

    Go to “Feet Management” > “View” > “Events Configuration” to customize events configurations.

    How frequently is the data updated on the platform?

    Trip and event data are uploaded every few seconds to ensure real-time analysis. The live map is updated every 30 seconds.

    Fleet Management & Analytics
    What safety events are tracked by VuDrive?

    VuDrive monitors both driving patterns- such as acceleration, hard braking, and high speed- and driver behavior, including distraction, eyes off the road, and seatbelt usage.
    Resellers can view the entire events list and choose whether to turn off/on certain events by going to Fleet Management -> Fleets -> Choosing a specific fleet -> Going to “Events Configuration” tab and toggling the events on/off.

    How is the driver score calculated?

    VuDrive’s algorithm takes into consideration the number of safety events and the severity of each event to determine the driver’s safety score.

    Can I integrate VuDrive data into my existing fleet management software?

    Yes, VuDrive has an API that can be used for integration. Contact Us via the Help Center for more information.

    How long is data retained on the platform?

    Event data is stored for 13 months by default. The media, however, (images and videos) will be stored for two months.

    Privacy & Security
    Who can access driver video or event data?

    Only authorized fleet admins and managers with platform access.

    Is video data encrypted or stored securely?

    Yes, all data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

    Can drivers see their data or reports?

    Yes. If a fleet manager wants to grant a driver access to the system, they simply need to enter the driver’s email on the driver’s page. This will create a user account for the driver, giving them access to view only their trips.

    How do I remove a vehicle or user from the system?
